Default 6 wk old - night time waking & feeds

This is my second bub. DD1 slept well at night and would wake every 4 hrs for a feed around this age. But DS is waking every 2 hrs at night for a feed. It's exhausting. Most mornings at around 4am he'll then wake every hr or so for top ups. But during the day, he'll sleep forever. I know that he probably still has his days/nights muddled but I'm tired! Especially now that my toddler has stopped her day sleeps. Although today I forced her to have quiet time in her room with door shut and lights out and she's gone to sleep! I'm quite surprised!
But just want to know if your newborn feeds this frequently throughout the night and how are you dealing with it. I've reluctantly also introduced the dummy to DS which I'm hoping will help string out the feeds however I hate the idea of him associating the dummy with sleep.
I'd love some responses on those who have also had a bub who fed a lot throughout the night and how long did it go on for?

Sounds normal for a 6 week old, could also be a growth spurt.

Really normal behaviour. But to help with the day/night - get bub some early morning and late afternoon sunshine. There is something in the sun then that stimulates melatonin production in babies. Do it over week or so till you get results.

Thanks guys. I'm actually going to start my morning walks with the kids this Monday so that will be a good test. This 2 hourly feeding has gone on since birth so doubt it's a growth spurt. But I'm producing enough milk for twins with the way he feeds. So much so that I'm wondering if he's just getting the foremilk and no hind milk. He migt not be. 'filling' up. And if I try to stretch him out, he cries like no tomorrow.
Guess I'll just kee going with the flow and see what happens in time.
    No sleep for me! ....sigh
