I went to the Mazda dealer recently and i thought the CX-5 was pretty good. Bigger than the 3 but not as expensive as the 6 (if i remember right).

We are selling a mini if he's interested? Totally unpractical in so many ways (looks cool though)

Not sure but you can look into it..maybe someone on here owns one and can tell you.
Its 2.5 i think or maybe 2.4. fuel consumption would be pretty similar with all cars of that size.

You know how I feel about my Mazda3 Benji. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

    And she was $10K, a 2006 model.

Costs about $60 to fill up with the petrol light on, so almost full tank and lasts me about 2 weeks - that includes driving to and from work every day, picking DP up and dropping her at work 4xweek and using it on weekends and Thursdays and Fridays throughout the day at work.

    No complaints so far

DH got a Hyundai i20 (the i30's are bigger) and it's been fantastic. A great, cheap, economical car

Hyundai's aren't the cr*p boxes they used to be

Oh I just love minis! He likes them, too. I told him get whatever he wanted, my car can be the one that hauls around the kid/s. Damnit, I want a mini!

Wondering how selfish it would be if I really talk up the Mazda 3 because I want to drive his car around?

I think it would be 'respectable' enough for him. He looks young so tends to get pulled over a bit in his current sports car!

Definitely look at second hand Mazda's, they are so cheap and reliable. My Mazda never lets me down and is so cheap to run. I have a 323, which is basically the old-school version of the Mazda3. Great car

Fuel consumption on the cheapest model Mazda 6 is 8.4 according to the cars guide in the back of top gear magazine

I actually REALLY want DP to get the same car as me but different colour. I think it would be cute. He thinks it would be daggy

    Not selfish at all

We all know the reason we got a Mazda3 was because *I* wanted one. M is cool with that
