Not according to my husband! He assures me it was quite traumatic, having to go into that little room at the IVF clinic, where the p*rn was soooo out of date! How could I POSSIBLY have gone through a more arduous experience than that?

Poor thing, i feel SO sorry for them

Are there really many women out there demanding diamond rings when their baby is born?! Surely not? I've never heard of such a woman. There are just a lot of lovely stories on here about partners who have bought their wife/partner something (i.e. jewellery) to mark the occasion and that will probably become a family aireloom one day. Poor dudes can't do anything right...

And heartburn so bad you wake up with stomach acid in your nostrils

And a pair of scissors slicing open your vagina (and months of healing)

Totally cool, I signed up for that (and going on 2 years of constantly broken sleep) poor fob, how on earth did he cope with it all lol

I hate the term 'push present' (even more than I hate the term 'babymoon') BUT I love the idea. I'm not a greedy person or demand presents usually but I think it's a lovely way of commemorating the birth. My dad gave my mum a ring after my sister and I were born, it wasn't a bribe or anything, just a lovely expression of how much he loved her. I can't quite describe why, but it gave me a wonderful safe and proud feeling as a little girl.

Kinda like the people who rage about other women getting gifts on Valentines Day and how stupid it is....in some cases I suspect they are just sore because their own partners aren't gonna give them anything . We don't celebrate V day in our house but I don't care if other people do

Really? A registry for a baby shower? Side issue but i've been to about 10 the last two years and have never seen a registry. You can buy a bib or a bumbo chair, its just about celebrating a friend/family members new baby isn't it. Especially nice if the expectant mum doesn't have a lot of spare cash and its a nice way for people to buy/donate a few things they might need...
