Default Can you or would you do this ???

I bought my dd new school shoes about 3 weeks ago!! Well today she comes home and one is broken cause a child in her class kept stepping on the back of it so the strap that comes across the top of her foot has broken off from the side that is sewed to the shoe!!
DP wants to tell the teacher to tell his parents to replace the shoes as we have only just bought them!!!
Im not too sure of this is something you can do!!!

I personally wouldnt expect the parent to pay. Its just one of those things i'd put down to kids being kids.

This. Just take it to a shoe repair place.

Yeah I don't think you can expect the other kids parents to pay but maybe mention it to the teacher so they can talk to the class about respecting other peoples property?

Shouldn't cost much to have the strap repaired at a bookmakers :-)
I'm too sexy for my Ex

I don't expect I just seen it as a kids being kids thing but DP was furious as its the 3rd pair of shoes this year already!!!

I am going to talk to her teacher about it though as dd asked him several times to stop!!

If its not someone your hold is friendly with, and your dd asked them to
Stop, that's sort of bullying is it? In which case I'd consider letting the parents know and see if they offer to pay.
