Poor bubs

Hi, I need some advice. My stepmothers son has separated from his GF whom he has a 14mnth old with. The break up was bad and she withholds their daughter from him regularly, I'm pretty sure the weekend just gone was the first time she would let him see her since about January. Anyway, he works 6days a week so his mum minded her during the day, he got her late Friday night and had to go to work early. When my stepmother picked her up, they realized she had not been bathed for days. They said she smelled like a pub they day after someone has spewed on the floor (doesn't sound very nice I know), she also had 'tide' markes on her skin from where her droll had tried. Then they undressed her for a bath and found she had a purple nappy rash that was scabing and looked like it was scaring (I have never even heard of nappy rash being that bad). I feel horrible that I know this, but have been told that calling informing docs or anyone about this won't do anything as its hearsay, but I feel that this isn't the only thing her mother is failing to do for her and if things got worse I would never forgive myself. I have no idea what to do but this poor little girl is getting a raw deal because her mother would rather run around and do acid and ***** about her ex than taking care of her baby. Has anyone got some advice please this is really worrying me

Sounds horrible..I would get the father to mention this to the mum..if it doesn't improve..or seems like the baby is being neglected or in danger ....I would report to DOCS

I would suggest to the dad to call docs himself and apply to take bubs full time.. Coming from.dads mouth should be enough to spark investigation and hopefully theyll find enough to grant him proper custody. poor little thing

Actually this ^ This is fantastic advice. Wheb it comes to legalities evidence is key. record everything.

I was going to say wat nagari said to. I work in childcare and if we suspect neglect or abuse of a child this is what we have to do before we contact family services. Poor little girl poor daddy not getting much time with his daughter. Hope they all work out out a better solution for all soon

Thank you all so much! I have told the dad what i feel the right thing to do is and what would happen if she was in day care and they saw. hopefully for this bubs sake he does the right thing.
