Charles will be king, he will be king until he passes. There is no reason why he shouldn't be. Why should he give up what he's been trained for his whole life because he isn't as liked as William?

I thought Charles gave up his right to the throne when he divorced Diana.

Charles WILL be king. I love his sense of humor but also you can tell how much he cares for his mummy.

I think he was terrible husband to Diana but I don't think she was much chop either!! I see how close Harry and William are to their father and how they have accepted her as his wife and think if they can deal with it ... So can we!

I got married in a church of England and they actually do support remarriage after divorce even if the ex is still alive. I had this discussion with the reverend just out of curiosity and he was performing a wedding with these circumstances

Agree plus we forget William and Harry have grown up to be wonderful adults and credit has to go towards Charles as well for their upbringing

As king, Charles is also head of the church of England which does not support remarriage after divorce especially if the ex is still alive.
We think this is why Will was pushed to have such a long courtship with Kate in order to insure the length of marriage etc!
Wasn't a large part of the motivation for the Church of England being formed because a King wanted to divorce his wife?!

Sure was ... The pope wouldn't allow the king to divorce to remarry so instead he created his own religion so he could!!! Take that pope-y!

Screw your excommunication, I'm creating my own church! *blows raspberry at pope*

In all seriousness though, Charles ad Camilla sought - and received - permission from the Church and (I think) Parliament to be able to marry.

For Australia? Pretty sure she doesn't do much here.

As a British citizen the general feeling in the UK that. Found was that people wanted William on the throne and there is a lot of expectation almost that Charles will abdicate! (personally I hope this happens) there are lots of different opinions though! Camilla was such a controversy and so many people disliked her that I don't know if the queen would even want her near the throne as the kings wife..
