    Hi and welcome to Wollongong!!

Unfortunately Wollongong seems to have big waiting lists for childcare and pre-schools, but I guess that is because where most of the businesses are. I had to wait over 2 years (put my form in 6 months before I had my son) to get my son into childcare and he just started last month (was born in November 2010).

There are a few options out Fairy Meadow/ Gwyneville way have your tried looking through the yellow pages to see what is out there? Unfortunately I don't know of any of them and I don't know of anyone that have used the centers out there, but you could always try asking in our Illawarra thread http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/f...p?52-Illawarra or we also have a facebook group (just PM me if you would like to join it).

We are also trying to plan a meet up soon if you would like to join us. I will post details once we have decided where and when.

    Hi Kimnus,

Thanks for the info!Yes I've glanced thru the directory, but really haven't a clue which places would be best..that's why was sorta hoping for some recommendations of good and well , not so good places..from other mums!! But i think at this moment, even getting a place isn't a surety, so i might as well try for whatever i can find....Never knew finding childcare cud be so hard ..I study at the uni. here, so have put him on the uni. wait list, but they reckon it'll take another 12-18 months to secure a place.. So, still trying to source for others in the mean time...You have a facebook page, for Gong mums? Sure! Wud love to join, what's the page? Meanwhile, I'll keep looking & would probably drop by some of the centres I come across in the next few days to see if something suitable comes along...hopefully so!! *finger crossed*
