My waters broke at 39+6 in the very early hours of the morning, but spontaneous labour hadn't begun by 11am so I was induced. She was born later that night.

So while I voted that she came early, it was only by 1 day (or really only a few hours! )

I woke at 38+2 with bleeding so went into hospital and was in early labour - 2cm dilated. 24 hours later I had a small hindwater leak but was only 3cm so my waters were broken. Contractions started after that.

DD1 - was born at 40+10 and my waters were broken by the midwife during labour

DS1 - was born at 40+5 and my waters broke during labour about 45 mins before he was born

DD2 - was born on her due date and my waters broke during labour in the same contraction that her head crowned!

DS2 - was born around 40+4 (can't remember exactly) and caught me completely off guard as my waters broke in bed at 4am before contractions started! I had ctx on and off until I finally went into full labour (naturally, not induced) lunchtime the following day and he was born just after 3pm - so about 35 hours after breaking.

DS3 is due in 21 days and I'm interested to see what he does

40+3 labour started, had my show, went to hospital, labour didn't progress, waters broken, put on drip to heat up labour. Contractions started 47 hrs before I gave birth but i'm pretty sure "active labour" was around 17-18 hours.
