1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup tomato sauce (I half halved tomato paste and pizza base sauce in here to)
700g lean mince (I usually do half beef and half pork and veal mince)
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 small onion chopped
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (this is on the recipe but I've never put this in)
3/4 cup finely crushed water crackers (I usually use saladas)
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Lightly grease a 13 x 20cm loaf tin.
- Press the brown sugar in to the bottom of the loaf pan and spread the tomato sauce over the sugar.
- In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly all remaining ingredients and shape in to a loaf. Place in tin on top of the sauce.
- Bake meatloaf for 1 hour or until juices are clear.
