Default Do you know a recipe for baked beans just like Heinz or SPC?

Does anybody know a recipe for making baked beans at home just like Heinz or SPC?

We have our own favourites, but the kids love it the SPC way and we'd prefer not to buy canned beans.

I can give you a spaghetti recipe that's like tinned spag.

    One onion very finely chopped
    packet of tubular spaghetti
    250 grams cheese (grated)
It calls for a tin of heinze tomato soup but you can make your own from scratch to add or use packet tomato soup pre made. (approx 400 mls)

    saute onion in pan
Add soup til bubbling and then simmer for ten mins
Add cheese and stir til sauce thickens.

    Pour over cooked spaghetti.

    My kids love it!

    Default thanks

Thank everyone for your replies. The spaghetti recipe gives me the idea to try something similar with beans, ie cook the beans (from dry) then add the home-made sauce/puree/soup, minus the cheese, and then instead of serving it right away, I'll put it into the oven to bake slowly. I'll post back when I have tried that out.

    Cheers,
    Marta
