    Default High Fever

My DS is 19 months old. Last night at 2am he woke up with a high temp around 39.8 and has been up and down all day. It's currently at about 38. I've been giving him nurofen every 8 hours and panedol every 6 hours in between, only do this when he has a high fever. The other issue is that he has ringworm on his bottom and has for the last 2-3 weeks (cream hasn't taken it all away yet), not sure if I need to worry about that or not. Other than the fever he doesn't have any other symptoms for a cold yet. He hasn't been eating too well but has been drinking lots of water. Should I take him to the hospital or see how he is in the morning?

I'd wait until the morning.... As long as the panadol/Nurofen is bringing it down a bit, then that's a good sign.... As for the ringworm, I'd hazard a guess and say its completely unrelated.

Sorry didn't reply yesterday. DS is alot better, we took him to the GP yesterday and he has an ear infection, he's on antibiotics and seems like himself this morning but I've kept him home today just in case.
