Default S/O what do you call your step kids?

So here my husband calls them our children, and when talking to others he says his kids. So what do you call them or what does your partner call them?

DH has always called them his kids or our kids, it was only very recently that the people he works with have found out he isn't their father, but they don't dare bring it up, I think they realise he's their dad anyway so it doesn't matter.

Oh and I love the whole "it's your turn to pick up your daughter from work" that I say to him lol, cause I know he'd never turn around and say "Well she isn't my daughter so you can go get her!"

DH calls DS 'his' or 'ours'.
I only refer to SS as 'his', very different relationships and circumstances though.

I'm the one bringing kids to the relationship and dp refers to the kids as 'the kids' when talking to me or other people. Like he got asked the other day to go to the pub for drinks and he said "nah we're taking the kids to the zoo"
If it was the other way round I'm sure I'd try not to diferentiate them by saying your ds or step ds. I'd just keep it neutral as much as possible

We both just say our kids ... One of the mums from school was shocked when they found out I was only the step mum of the youngest (:

I say the girls when I'm talking about them. At the start I would say my stepdaughters and they'd say my stepmum, but that was what they needed to define everyone's roles. After 7 years they're much more comfortable with the dynamics of both their families.

Depends who we talk to. They are 'our' 4 kids. But I will sometimes say his, he will say hers.

Around the kids I call them by thier names or "the kids" or "the boys". Talking to other people I call them his kids. And talking to him I call them 'the boys' or 'your kids'. He just calls them 'the boys'.
