    Default braxton hicks ???

I have been getting a popping feeling in my stomach (approx 3cm up and 4cm in from the corner of my hip) every 2-3 mins tonight for around 3 hours i am just a little concerned its not painful just a bit uncomfortable, i am 24 weeks this is my first. my mum never felt Braxton Hicks contractions at all i have felt them for around 5 weeks now but tonight is the most painful of all and normally i would only have 5 a day i counted 40 tonight then stopped counting. Has anyone else had this and if yes what was it im just concerned as i live ages away from a hospital and the drs arnt open tomorrow in our town. I hope its not my little man coming early, i have been worried since finding out that i were preg that my bub would come early i were born a month before my due date no one in my family was ever on time or late, my husbands family has all been on time or one day late. please help me

Not sure if what you're describing is Braxton Hicks or not. To me, Braxton Hicks feels like my whole tummy becomes rock hard and heavy.. it lasts maybe 20 seconds? It comes and goes. Mine are painless. Not sure about the "popping" sensation you described from near your hip? Pregnancy can bring all types of aches, pains and sensations.. could be bubs in a funny position?

To me it does not sound like Braxton hicks. If you experience a tight feeling across your stomach or notice it becomes hard its probably bh. If you experience pain at the same time its probably best to get it checked out. But its normal to get all kinds of weird feelings and some discomfort too.

This may be a really stupid suggestion (apologies in advance) but are you sure it isn't the baby kicking. Sometimes it feels like a popping sensation. Braxton hicks tends to feel like tightening or a niggling heavy period pain for me but it's not painful just uncomfortable.
