PP all I got was free use of the computers to apply for jobs, photocopy things and print out resumes and cover letters. No help putting any together, no help finding the jobs to apply for. Lucky I also didn't need help.

And to prove that, I had to be signed up to a job network. Voluntarily though, so no compulsory job applications, just on the books.

ETA, that's what I was told by CL call centre staff.

Really? That's odd. I've never had too.I've received it for working, studying and looking for work over the years.
Are you thinking of JET? I had to be signed up to some voluntary participation thingy to receive that.

No, I'm not eligible for that one (visa status). Unless I've gotten the two confused.

It sounds like m2b might be getting the rebate anyway.

So how do they prove you are looking for work? If studying, do they ask for enrolment details etc?

CCR only came in after dd was at school and I knew nothing about Jet until well after. M2B does not yet get the rebate but will once participation begins.

When studying i had to take in proof of my enrollment.

Looking for work was as simple as the a centrelink staff memeber ticking off a box on my file.

Working i have to report my income every fn.

CCR is the childcare rebate - 50% back ever fn, quarter, year depending on what you've chosen.

JET is the heavily subsidised childcare.

But what's stopping someone from saying that they are looking work just to get the rebate? There's usually so many hoops to jump through, this seems too easy.

I guess there is nothing stopping them. I found it odd when it was that simple as well. I thought i would have had to prove that i was actually looking for work but didn't.
But then i wasn't looking for too long before i actually got a job so maybe if after a longer period of time they might start to question and ask for proof?
