It's always little things; but little things that he wouldn't do for anybody else. Like cooking my bacon separately because the other pan has mushrooms in it as well, and he knows I don't like mushroom juice on my bacon.

During our movie last night he told me that if I fell behind during a rage zombie apocalypse, he'd come back for me, even if it meant we'd die horribly, because at least we'd die horribly together.
    Romantic? I thought so

Best thing he's ever said to me was just after DD was born, I was still covered in blood and fluids, leaning on the wall panting and he whispered that I'd never looked more amazing.

He's just generally great to me. Always taking care of me, buying my favourite foods, making me hot chocolates, rubbing my back when we're watching tv, keeping my company.

Best recent thing he did for me was buying a calendar while he was in the city and marking the date we're starting TTC. He said we can use it to keep track of when I test, and "womanly things like cycles and flows and stuff"
A good effort at being fully involved

Before we started going out, he sort of knew some things about ex and that he wasn't very good to me or the kids and he told me that he would look after me which I thought was really sweet.

Oh and then when we got together he told me he felt very, very lucky.

He is always very thoughtful, things like making me a plate of food if we're at a BBQ and I'm attending to DD. He helps around the house and is generally affectionate and sweet. However the most important / sweetest two things he has said to me are

    1) You are the love of my life. No woman could ever compare to you.

    2) - after DD was born - you now are the second most important person in my life. This sounds like its not a nice thing to say, but I suffered years of abuse at the hand of my mother while my father stood by and did nothing. When the subject came up he said "what can I do? My wife is the most important person in my life". I had mentioned to DH, years ago before we got married, that it would have been nice if my father thought his children were important enough to come first. Him saying I came second was his way of letting me know that he remembered our conversation and he would always protect our baby from evil forces.... Brings tears to my eyes still

These are all so sweet! I especially love your story MRSDJ1234.. I love when people take notice of the things you say and surprise you like that.. awww! My exdp did that a lot :-)

I loved that I could open up to him and he would hold me and not say anything. I come from a family where (unwanted) advice is ALWAYS given, and being told I should do this, this and this is the norm - probably given with the best intentions, but not necessary. He was great at listening.

I also loved the way he played the guitar and sang me to sleep when I was really really tired, and when I was asleep, would jump in beside me and cuddle me.

    I think I miss him.

Ive been feeling really icky during the pregnancy, and bloated n feeling huge already...

Anywho, he dropped me off to get something from the drs office, while he double parked up a parking isle, as i walked back, i could see him smiling, this lovely warm truly happy smile, i got in the car and said 'did ds#2 say something cute?" cause he has been doing that lately, and dh says "no, i just saw you, and you look so beautiful, i cant believe your mine"

    *cue hormonal bawling*

My DH does so many nice and wonderful things for me, I'm very lucky.

One thing he does for me all the time is make me a cappuccino every morning. Even if he's tired from working night shift he still insists l wake him up for a 'coffee date'.

Something my ex said to me once that I'll never forget. We were having a MAJOR argument and he looked at me and said "It really doesnt matter if you dont love me. My love for you and us is more than enough to last a lifetime." Unfortunately it wasnt for me but it was sweet.
