If you google 'Healthy Kids Check' you will find some info. I don't like it, we never, ever go to the doctor, we don't even have a GP.

I think it's a brilliant idea in picking up if kids are getting abused or neglected. Op I got a letter in the mail from Centrelink reminding me.

We did ours a little while back, it's basically a check they do on your child to make sure they are meeting certain milestones in preperation for school. They do things like counting, drawing basic shapes, recognising colours/numbers, threading beads etc. Took us about half hour, just make sure you mark down the date and GP who constructed the test so you can let centrelink know

I thought it was only if you had been advised to at previous apts eg we have to get DD checked at 4 as she has a heart murmur.

It's a requirement now for Family Tax Benefit (can't remember of is A or B). You have to have It done the financial year your child turns 4. If not they can cancel your FTB.

I wonder if you can conscientiously object like you can for vaccinations?
