If it turns out your baby is 12lbs, then this is definitely a good thing. I've given birth vaginally to two babies who were both 9-10lbs and I just cannot fathom how much damage could be done by a 12lb baby!

i had a 10lb 15oz baby vaginally with no problems. Being active, able to move around and birthing in water certainly helped.

If you go ahead with the c section, make sure you speak up about things that are important to you. A birth plan can be even more important for c sections.

Good luck as you meet your baby.
