Default Names that are similar to famous peoples ..

So.. I decided yesterday that I like Lucas if bubble is a boy.

The middle name we would likely use is George.

    Lucas George.

Now, we are no star wars fans.. but George Lucas was the first thing that came to mind as soon as I said it out loud even though its not the name exactly.

Is it weird? Do you think it even matters?? Does your LO have a name similar to someone famous and do people comment?

Go with what you like, few weeks ago i realised DD had same name as one of celebrity babies and few months back an old lady was kind enough to point out she also shares the name with a character from a movie who was a prostitute, didnt bother me.

My friend's 92 year old grandfather is named Harry Potter. He's never been so popular! In fact, with the help of his grandchildren, he is a huge Harry Potter fan, to the extent i made him some HP pyjamas when he had to be hospitalised a few years back. I worked at the hospital at the time, and we even had a Hogwarts badge on his room door.

My point is, go with what you love, especially if it has meaning for you. Be prepared for those that roll their eyes, but hey, it's your baby and your decision. The name is lovely. Any who know, like this old man, maybe my name will become famous one day too!

I found out while in labour with DD (her name was set in stone) that she has the same first and middle name as "alyssa jayne" milano (spelt the same as well) It was weird, because the room they put me in while in the early stages had a magazine on the table and she was on the cover..

Go with it babe! I *am* a Star Wars fan, and didn't make the connection.
Just be aware you may get some comments though, as you know DS2 is Axel - And apparently I *must* be die hard gunners fans to name our son that!

Will you be calling him Lucas or Lucas George when you're talking to him?
I mean, if you just use Lucas, then who would know what his middle name was unless you told them or they see it on some kind of form?

I think most people won't even know his middle name growing up.
Not many people ever knew mine

Lol, only Lucas George when in trouble!! So no, it's not the full name that would get used every day!

However my middle name is meldrum, after my gran who passed away 5 weeks before I was born. And when anyone hears it I ALWAYS get asked if its after Molly meldrum! I was born overseas, my parents only ever heard of Molly when we moved hear in 1996!

That's totally fine, and Lucas is a great name. In my DS's kinder class there is a John Lennon. I kid you not! Oh and there's an Anakin.
