I'm no expert but I wouldn't touch them at the moment all that good stuff is colostrum which bub really needs straight after birth. Your milk won't come in till after bubs is born.

This ^^. I would imagine if you pump now, your milk will come in. Then you'd have no colostrum which is really good for your bub. Plus you'll leak even more with milk than colostrum. You could ask a midwife or your OB for clarification as I'm no expert either! Maybe just grab some breast pads for now.

I believe they say from 37 weeks on you can pump and freeze colustrum. The stimulation apparently can bring on labour and you don't want that too early. I didn't freeze any but will next time.

Actually I wouldn't recommend pumping before birth - my midwifery group advised against it as a means to bring labour on as it had some "negative outcomes" but I have no idea what the risk might be at only 24 weeks. Get a pack of breast pads and phone the ABA hotline for advice

Colostrum comes when your in you third trimester. If you were to pump and get milk before then it would change back to colostrum. I suggest you give the ABA a call, if ur wanting it to work this time the class they offer is FANTASTIC!! I did it on my second round and I went on to feed dd2 until 21m and still feeding dd3 at 8m. It was a great class, very helpful and the support network of meetings, the forum and the book u get with the class and membership was by my side every feed!!
