Default So embarrassed..I'm just going to go die in a dark hole now..

So I'm one of the stupid people who just sends text messages in a hurry..

I bought a really nice "comfortable" bra.
I was telling my best friend of 12 years about it last night over the phone, saying how well it held up my post pregnancy boobs and gave them a nice shape, you can imagine what this bra looks like...
She said she wanted me to send her a picture (she lives in another state) to see how this bra made my boobs look as she was interested in one for herself.

So this morning when I was getting dressed I took a picture of it on, told her where she can buy it, how much it was and I said in the MMS "it makes my breasts look nicer doesn't it?, it even covers most of my strech marks"
I was in a rush trying to get ready because dd was into everything in the bathroom, So i quickly sent it.

About 2 hours later I got a text from my BIL saying "oh my. What A lovely looking bra, I think I will have to take your advise and buy one for my self, however I take it that message was not intended for me"

My bestfriend and BIL are right next to each other in contacts and I must of hit his number instead of my friends..

    I'm so embarrassed!!
I feel like I'm going to be sick..

BIL is coming over on the weekend to baby sit DD.. I don't think I will be able to look at him.. I'm horribly mortified!
How could I be so stupid

It sounds like he's willing to laugh it off, so you take the next few days to build up to your own laugh. Maybe you can say "did you end up getting a bra during the week?" at which point you can apologize for mis-sent text. Or you can just pretend it never happened.

It happens to everyone at some point.

    Oh no
If it makes you feel any better i send DH a photo once holding our newborn (he was deployed at the time) and as an excited new dad he went around showing everyone the photo - until someone pointed out my nipple in the background (because i'd been breastfeeding and didn't realise i was still hanging out). DH and i had both missed the fact my nipple was on display - talk about embarrassing

Don't worry, he has probably already forgotten about it.

Oh dear. I'm sure he understands these things happen. Hopefully it'll just become a family funny story that you can laugh along to too.

Dh is on a RDO today so he knows all about it (it was his bother it was sent to!)
And thinks its funny and keeps making little jokes about it.. I'm still in shock, I have laughed at a few of DHs jokes about it.. But until the shock and embarrassment wears off I will still feel like putting my head in the sand lol.

I said sorry to BIL and he seemed to be alright with it and just said he was just taken back when he opened the message.

I never send picture messages.. And the one time I do this happens...
    Oh the shame...

Ahem... I don't send messages, but on one of my traveling stints out of the states and away from DP, I took a number of "nice" pics for him and sent them to him... Except I accidentally sent them to my ex instead..
Luckilly, he's my best mate and laughed about it. I did however get the "Well, it's been a while since I saw them, but I don't think (Dps name) would like to share. Try again=P" text.

If it was my BIL it would become a big family joke, my in laws are huge jokesters though and none of it would be intended to embarrass, and yeah as you said it's that initial shock still. But what a funny story to tell, and it made me LOL.

My BIL is net to my husband in my phone, their first names both start with the same letter, I have accidentally sent lovey messages to BIL instead of DH, ... So embarrassing, luckily we all laugh! I am much more careful now!!

    Haha love it!! 😜
If your BIL thinks its funny and so does your DH I'd not be stressing about it.... When BIL turns up to babysit I'd break the ice by saying "so how did bra shopping go?"
