Thank you everyone for your wonderful suggestions!

I've been a bit cheeky and asked for some iTunes vouchers so I can d/l some movies and music for labour/hospy stay and also some terry cloth nappies to use as spew rags - and I never even thought to ask for washing powder and extra pegs!

Between my mother and my sister, the little tummy monster has a wardrobe that would put mine to shame - and has clothes waiting for her when she turns 5!! and my sister being a teacher has been ordering books from book club for us the whole pregnancy - and the book depository has been my best friend (dh and I are big book readers) so her bookshelf is full of gorgeous books too.

    Littleriv, CB12 and Kymmie -
thank you for your congratulations and best wishes as her birth gets closer and closer I keep swinging between being petrified and super excited! DH just can't wait to meet her

Thank you all again so so much

For spew rags, I bought 20, $1 hand towel from ikea

They are the perfect size and dry quickly.

A keepsake box for putting in things like hospital arm bands, first outfit, etc is also a great pressie.

Amazing aren't they! I have a giraffe in my room that stays on all night and you can change the colours and dim and brighten it and have it on timer.

Great for nighttime feeds so you don't have to turn any bright lights on and bub doesn't get too stimulated!!

    - def a pack of cloth nappies for spew cloths
    - singlets suit things that clip together for bub to wear under clothes.. They are great so they don't ride up
    - bibs.. Seriously I go through about 10 a day lol
    - fess little noses and eukybear rub (sooooo useful if and when bub gets a stuffy nose)
    - a towel material bath seat thing (obviously I have no idea what it's called) but its something for bub to lay on in bath.. It's awesome!!

These are just the things I've found the most useful in the first 11 weeks anyway!

Congrtulations and Best of luck with your new bub!
I just went shopping on that night light site, it's great!

OP I second the singlet suits for layering in winter. So much easier as I find the singlets ride up also.

That towel material bath thing, which I also have no clue what it's called , has been used religiously in this house. It was only $13 from Toys R Us to.

It sounds a bit gross but a snot sucker is very useful. My DD has been snuffly for 7 weeks now and her pediatrician said it could last all winter yet. So it's getting a workout!
