    Default Kitchen Renos

Hi allWere about to start the daunting task of renovating our kitchen. So far im thinking high gloss cabinets, no handles, black, red & white theme, free standing oven, gas cooktop. Stainless steel/brushed appliances. Thats about as far as ive gotten & no idea if im on the right path. Soooo if you have been there done that what hints & tips can you give me. Anything you would definately do again or alternatively never do again?Would love to hear what everyones idea of a perfect kitchen is!!!

I can't recommend large drawers for plates, pots and pans etc. So much better than cupboards!

Oooh it is sooo hard, but sounds like you're on the right track! I wish we had got a free standing cooker. Research your extractor fans, ours was included free with our kitchen, but just blows the smoke out at the roof and sets our smoke alarm off all the time, drives me nuts.
Glass splashback? Or tiles? I would go glass splashback.
My kitchen has white cupboards, grey benchtops and grey splashback, and we have red/ orange artworks on the walls, so similar colour scheme.

I would have a mix of cupboards and large drawers. We had an awesome kitchen at our old house and I miss it!

Make sure the location of the dishwasher makes sense and it close to the sink. Neighbour moved into their house with dishwasher on other side of the kitchen opposite the sink and of they want to rinse stuff it is really annoying. Also make sure you will be able to open all doors and oven without blocking any entrances or preventing opening other doors.

If I was doing kind I would also get one of the long pull put taps.

Lots of powerpoints too if you use things like a toaster/mixer etc.

    And a big

Looking forward to hearing all the replies on this - we are starting kitchen renos in August. We have also asked for high gloss doors and changing majority of our cupboards to draws, although we are still keeping the cupboards under the sink. Plus we are putting an extra set of slim draws cupboard spcae next to our fridge, and going with glass splashbacks. We have tiles now but they are going
