    Default Percentile

Can someone please explain to me how percentiles work? I was told DS is in the 90th percentile of his motor development and I have no idea what that means

It means that only 10% of kids his age are taller or heavier than him. He is 90th percentile. He is taller or heavier than 89% of other kids his age

Yeah, there are charts for what things children 'do' at different ages and it means that at his age only 10% of kids can do what he is doing in terms of motor development - things like running, jumping, skipping, etc. Sounds like you probably have an active little boy on your hands!
