No not really. DH is a Project Manager that works in an essential service industry.

Not at all. He's a very experienced mine worker, doubt they'll be getting rid of him any time soon.

I do really feel for the ones that have been made redundant, awful situation.

I'm not. He works for a friend who's running a very successful solar business at the moment. They're so busy they have to turn jobs away, or put people on a waiting list... so I think we're safe.

Not at all. We are lucky that DH is in a profession where no matter what happens, they will always be needed. I really can't imagine having to go through the anguish and uncertainty of having him laid off. I really really feel for those who have gone/are going through it

He has been very worried as one of their clients went into receivership owing them a huge amount of money. So redundancies were inevitable, but they are done now and his was fine, as I knew it would be. He's busier than he can manage and wins them lots of work, so they can't afford to lose him IMO, of course he doesn't have such confidence in himself as i do. It was still scary and tense for a week or so though.
