Thanks again everyone. We've only been back a couple days. He's (appearing) to feed MUCH better..no more hurting me thank god! Everyone tells me he appears to be latching well n feeding well n appears full after each feed...he's certaining emptying my boobs that's for sure.

Sadly tho we've been working with a paed n he's still not gaining weight n they can't work out why. He's had blood tests etc n nothing is showing up. In the last 2 wks he's only gained 120gm n is still under his birth weight they said he's in the healthy range which is good thank god. n hex VERY alert!
He got a cold last week n wasn't feeding well so I'm hoping that's why he didn't put much on.
But now I'm being sent to take him for a sweat test for cystic fibrosis so I'm mega petrified about this! spent the day trying not to stress n cry..but easier said than done
I've been put on the prescription drugs to boost my milk as well to try everything we can!

I'm just lost...no one seems to know y he won't gain weight ESP since all I feel I do is feed feed feed atm :-/

Thanks again for all ur support ladies!

My little boy is now 17 weeks and we went through a very similar thing to you. It turned out he had a urinary tract infection which they picked up through a urine test. Have they looked into that yet? As soon as he was treated for that he started thriving really well.

Good news!!!! They were concerned that Jaxon may have had cystic fibrosis so I spent a week panicking waiting the test results and he's all clear!!! AND he gained 200gm last week n is back to birth weight! Only took 6 wks! So they're happy with him now!

Sorry I haven't read the other posts... He is not being naughty when he is pulling on your boob ... He is trying to get more milk out ... Babies will also punch your boob (it's a reflex they are born with) to get more letdown
