Default Husband appreciation thread... no, really!

I have an awesome DH. Don't get me wrong, he has his dimwitted 'man brain' moments too (like the other night he put the rice cooker lid in the microwave and shattered it!), but overall he really is a peach!

It's so easy to whinge about our husbands, but I thought it would be nice to make a thread about the lovely things they do for us! I'll start.

    - On weekends when it's cold, he warms my socks/jumper up with the hairdryer before I get out of bed.

    - He gives me random presents for no reason (last one was crayola glow in the dark sand).

    - He will drop everything and race home to kill a spider or get a frog out of the dog's water bowl for me (I'm a massive scaredy cat).

    - He has, upon request, purchased glitter for me - even though this is apparently detrimental to one's masculinity.

    - He occasionally allows me to give him a makeover - lipstick, eyeshadow, nails, hair etc. (although I'm not supposed to tell anyone that).

    Your turn!

*He tucks me in and gives me a kiss every morning before he leaves for work.

    *Makes me cuppas everyday.

*He helps with all aspects of housework (including cleaning the toilet), cooking and anything to do with the kids.

*He washes my car for me every week so I don't have to climb up on the ute.

*He sends me cute messages and kisses and rubs my belly.

*Brings home random presents or takes me on dates.

*Tells me I need new clothes and takes me shopping for maternity wear and bras.

*Makes me laugh and would do anything for me

First of all your husband sounds so lovely.

What a great positive thread. Its nice to focus on good points and the little things.

-I appreciate my DP for helping with the house work on the weekends.

-Running around the shops with the kids to keep them entertained while I do the shopping.

-the good bye kiss I get every morning.

    - Puts up with me during my highs and lows.

    - That he was always done what is best for the family and works hard to provide a home and food for us all.

Mine makes me breakfast when I get up at 5 am for work, even though he doesn't have to be up til 7 am. He never questions what I do on days off. He looks after my DD as if she were his own. I work 12 hr shifts so on days I work he does all the cooking etc. he brings me tea in the bath He makes me laugh all the time, he remembers anniversaries and birthdays and secretly puts little chocolate bars into my handbag. He does custom designs and has them made into shirts for me. My husband is a gem and my best friend. I couldn't ask for better.

-He makes me lunch on weekends.
-He gave me money to buy a new car because my old one was crap.
-He looks after DS as if he were his own.
-He wants me to have a social life. Unlike many women I know, I just tell him "I'm going to see my friend" he says DS can stay with him and off I go.
-He never yells, never swears, never puts me down. He's fun to have a conversation with.
    -He's my best friend.

My husband took his socks off last night and gave them too me because my feet were cold and I didn't want to get up. (I'd been feeling sick all Arvo.)

He's been making me lots of meals lately just because I'm too exhausted to do anything.

    He irons!

He works SO hard to create an amazing financial future for us.
He is so supportive of anything I want to do. Uni, buying a thermomix etc!
He is always thinking of me and wanting me to be happy
He thinks I'm the most beautiful woman in the world and tells me all the time.
He always helps when he can and is such a great dad, despite having no positive role models in his life
He took my name when we married
and I am so proud to tell everyone!
We get along SO well and talk about everything. Our communication is awesome and I miss him so much when he works a lot.

    Too funny magic mud!

My husband is a giant pain in the ***! However he works hard for us, hands over all his pay to me and asks me if we can afford it before he buys something. I don't think I could do the same if I was the one working!

He loves his kids and his pets. I love seeing him baby our cat, I don't think he would appreciate me telling people how much he dotes over that old thing.

He happily buys anything I need on the way home from work even if it was tampons he wouldn't care.
