baked beans are awesome! I'm eating them right now, with scrambled eggs on toast. Yum.

They are also yummy with curry powder stirred through them.

This thread has made me feel so much better!! DD loves baked beans and they are my easy meal for her if she doesn't like what we are eating or if I forgot to defrost something for dinner. I always felt guilty about giving them to her especially since whenever one of our friends happens to be over it's what she always seems to be having, they always tease that that's all we feed our child lol. She has them about twice a week!

Yes, I'm quite happy to give for breakfast on toast. LOVE them for me with a big brekky.. Lunch in a toasted sandwich is yummmy, but dinner, I feel awful about.. Even if it isn't just on toast. I think it's just I'm afraid I will accidentally turn into my mum, and serve it 7 nights a week for a couple of weeks lol. Hmm.. Issssues.... Lol

Thanks for reminding me about this yummy, healthy meal. DS3 and I just had baked beans for lunch, and it was just what we need on this bleak, miserable, sickly day.

Surely they're only healthy if they are cooked in a Thermomix?

Especially when you make them yourself and not buy the cheapo home branded tins
