He has a cheap and nasty backpack I got from kmart for about $8. It's just red and grey.

We just write on stuff with permanent marker (like on the clothes tags or bands or whatever is available) and on the lunchboxes.

We are too lazy for labels, lol.

I remember your previous struggle with daycare; that's great he got an aide. Hopefully it all goes well.

She had a Thomas the Tank Engine bag that could fit everything in it, and although it cost $30 from a bag shop, it lasted her from 18 months until we sold it earlier this year at 8.5 years, sold it for $10 in perfect condition, so I recommend bag shop ones for sure. She has a Mambo bag now in Year 3, TTTE is uncool now

My DS loves transformers so i bought him a transformers bag off ebay for $12. It's just an averaged size school bag. It's material too... not that horrible plastic type you mentioned in you OP.

DS uses a Ben 10 backpack that I think we got in a show bag one year. Any bag will do though as long as it can fit everything in it.

Either Big W or K-Mart have cheap $5 backpacks that are a decent size.

As for labels I always go through Identikid - you can google their website. They do great multipacks.

Thank you msmummy, im a nervous wreck, but we are gonna be starting a lengthy transition process so he can adapt as best as he can before he officially starts, so that helps put my mind at ease some.

We had an elmo one last daycare attempt, and stitching can undone fron the zipper, and because it was plastic u couldnt really fix it so i thout id be avoid that again.

Bag stores i didnt really think of that! I forgot they do kiddy bags

Oh i made him a tote a whole ago, it doesnt close up so i thought they may not be appropriate? Id be happy to just use that as i dont have much money!

$5 bags sound great as well, as long as they dont need replacing very often lol

Thank you for the label website xox
