Default Whats with the orange fake tan nowadays????

Okay I know I am old (yes I am 40 ) but what is with the young people today getting all oranged up?

I have a lovely girl that I do printing for...she owns a cheer and dance company and she came over yesterday to pick up some stuff and she was in her cheer gear and....she was orange!! She is very pretty and to me the orange fake tan just made her look cheap

Everywhere I see now when people have faked tanned its all orange?

Is it a new colour thing? Like orange is the new brown?

    Just dont understand!

Lol there are just as many of us young ones who think it is gross.
    Reminds me of Oompa Lumpa's.

Yuck - I have no idea. I think most people who are orange just don't realise they are. I've had orange people tell me that if I ever fake tan (which I won't) then to be careful who I go with in case I turn orange. Erm...

I think it's one of those slippery paths that once you start on it your perception of orange changes...

Now I sit back and wait for the comments from people who say "Well I fake tan and it's not orange at all." (Are you suuuure??)

    Cheap and nasty brands.
Or they don't own any mirrors.

I guess the silver lining is that it's better than getting skin cancer?

I even had someone ask if I was getting a fake tan for my wedding...nope!!! "But you're white!"....So? I like being white thanks...better than being orange, or worse cancerous! Give me white anyday!

It's the whole 'cancer council' thing promoting tan from a can insted of skin cancer

There is a big market out there if someone could invent a good 'brown' tan.

That second one is a winner!

It's taking bi-racial to a whole new level.

Last I read they don't promote it because they believe people shouldn't perpetuate the 'tan is beautiful' myth. That people with pale skin should embrace it.

Definitely better than a tanning bed, but still sad that people won't leave themselves be.
