I put DS in daycare since he was 3,5 years old. First 6 months it was half day then full day monday-friday till now. (kindy-daycare). I do it because i believe that what works best for our family, especially for him and me and generally for DD and DH.

My almost 3 year old son goes to daycare 2 days a week for 2 full days. I am trying to find a part time job and I am a single mother and need a break. He loves going and playing with the kids and toys etc.

Because I have to. I work 4 days a week and DS2 goes to daycare the 2 days that DS1 is in kindy. I feel awful taking him there, but I know that it is good for him socially too. I drop him off at 8:30am and DH picks him up at 2:30pm, as he leaves work early so that he isn't the last one to be picked up...because I would cry lol.

When I wasn't working I would put him in for a day a week so that I had a day to relax, and so that he could be around little kids. I only leave him there around 6 hours at a time though.

DD has been in daycare 4 days/week since she was 9 months because I had to go back to work full-time. He Nanna takes her on Fridays.

Not sure what we'll be doing when I go on maternity leave. Will depend on money, though I do want to keep her in for at least 2 days/week so I can have a little break and some one-on-one time with bubs and because I don't want to lose her spot.

My girls go 2 days a week. I work full time but cause I nurse I juggle my other 3 shifts a week around my husbands hours. On an occasional week the go 3 days if my roster is bad. I am due to go on mat leave mid November with bub due end of November- the girls will stay in care until my husband goes on summer holidays for 6 weeks as I worry how I will cope with 3 under 2.5 years especially post a c section. I feel guilty admitting I get excited when my monthly rdo falls on a crèche day and I get a day to lay in bed and watch dvd's etc ( I also clean the house lol)

Changing mine too, didn't work out either DS2 sleep at night got worse and his anxiety was terrible the poor thing he would spend the entire day asking if he had to go to little school and crying its taken 2 weeks of solid reassurance that he is not going for him to stop asking

poor guy, my dude shut down completely, became non verbal for three days, sat in his room and stared at the walls... This was just after a transition visit with ME there.

    It was awful >_<

how has he been since? I hope he has been ok. I wonder if DS2 would cope better with family day care but I honestl ydont trust them (except one woman who I already know but she is a 2 hour drive away!).

DS goes two days a week to FDC. He started 1 day a week at 12 months because I wanted him to. He was 'ready' to start socialising and doing activities away from home and I had a newborn baby (foster carer) to look after at the time so it worked well for everyone. He started the second day when my DD was born. He loves it. I clean, look after DD, have a break, have coffee with friends, sew, read on those days. DD is not ready (she is the same age DS was when he started) and I can't see her being ready anytime soon for daycare so she will stay home with me for the time being. I honestly did book him in because he needed it. He never cried when I dropped him off from the day he started, just got straight into destroying the place
