Gift ideas for godparents PLS

Hi all,

So DD is getting baptized in a month and my sis and her hubby are god parents. They also baptized DS 3 yrs ago and last time we got them seperate gifts (a model car coz he looooves cars for god father and a crystal vase for my sis)

This time I am stumped for ideas, and I would really looove to get them both something special as I am honoured that they have agreed to godparent for DD especially after what they have been thru in the last year and a half.

So pls, any ideas would be much appreciated, I have $400ish to spend, and I would love if I could come up with something special for them both.

Our kids don't have God parents, but are named after family members who act in that capacity.

We give them framed photos or printed canvases of the babies as gifts. Usually with an xbox game for DSs and a mani/pedi voucher for DDs.

But we do gifts on their birthdays and Christmas every year. So not quite the same thing.

Thanks. I was thinking a framed photo of both DS and DD with them on their baptism day

For DS's godmother, we got a pendant from Tiffany's (the silver range starts from around the $200 mark) or you could buy a Pandora bracelet and include two special charms to remind her of her godchildren (maybe the initial of their first names), or a little boy and little girl (this is what we bought DS's grandma for Christmas - she loves it and often talks about how special it is...) You could then buy her a charm from the kids for her birthdays going forward...

I find the boys a but harder... We bought DS's god father a dog-tag necklace charm that has DS's picture lasered into it, which he loved.

We also got them both a framed pic of DS.

When I was a godmother to my niece I was given an iPod as a thank you gift, which I loved... This was five years ago and to this day I still think of my niece whenever I use it...

When DH was godfather to his nephew he was given a copy of the book "the Godfather". We stole the idea and gave DS' godfather a copy of the book when we baptized him.

You don't have to buy them anything, I just wanted to say to DS's thanks for agreeing to take on what I see as a very important role in my son's life.

Yeah, I think it's important ds's godparents are his aunt and uncle because I want to make sure they are around while he grows up. The religious side isn't so important to me I just wanted good role models for him

Hi Tia, When DS got christened we organized for a portrait photography session (photos with us & DS and also photos with DS and his Godparents). We had a small album made up for both godparents from the photos taken. There are a few places that specialise in baby portraits but we used Dreamlife Photos & Video. They have this "Growing Up" package so we are able to do photos through the key times. Hope this helps
