Default Is the school responsible for damage by students?

Our backyard backs on to a primary school and last year we had problems with kids throwing rocks over the fence. I called the school a few times and they spoke to the students and it seemed to have stopped.

This morning I found a huge rock and a big hole in our window obviously from the rock that has been thrown at it.

Does anybody know if it is up to the school to have it repaired?

I too would like to know, this is why we refuse to live near the school as kids seem so disrespectful lately. My School had issues with students rocking parked cars around the school but was never revealed who paid to fix

it would be hard...because they could deny it was their students unless you had a witness.

They might do it out of good will?

That's what i was thinking. You would probably need proof it was a school student.
