From a once off visit? You'd have a hard time proving it was exclusively from that.

Some of these brides amaze me lol
I checked with my bridesmaids that they were happy with their dresses before I bought them. I wanted them to feel comfortable and sexy. I asked them if they were okay to have smokey eyes. I told them to buy their own shoes so they were comfortable and they got to decide on their hairstyle.
I feel like people take it too far when they want their perfect day.

    requested cash present.

her new sil stole MOH place and was told , i was trouble making when i mentioned it.

was sat next to my childhood abuser and no one else..told i was being dramatic.

grooms family were awful people and ignored me but sister told me i was rude to them...1 of me and 30 of them hmm

not allowed to have a drink as she didnt like how it looked, she was plastered though.

was told i didnt have to do a speech but then she changed her mind and told everyone that i hurt her by not offering

she had 6 bridesmaids and bought each one a pressie ..earings. said, sorry i got you nothing as your ears are not pierced.

the morning i left, i called to say goodbye but she was too relaxed to come down and see me off.

i got home and decided never to do a thing for her ever again!!!
Oh my... That's terrible. So sad = (

Any wedding I've ever been in, yes, had to pay for my own dress and my bridesmaids paid for theirs. I guess it makes a difference if the Bride is reasonable or not and makes an effort to ensure the amount isn't ridiculous and that the bridesmaids actually like it of they are paying for it. I made sure I asked each of mine individually what their budget was and worked within that, and they all liked the dress. I know at least one of them has worn it again to another function.

They wore their own shoes and I paid for hair, makeup and jewelry. So really all they paid for was the dress.

My two sisters are my MOH and BM,
They are paying for there own dress.
They can pick anything as long as its a black knee-ish length dress with straps.
    I'll pay for the rest.

Why wouldn't you say no? I haven't been a bridesmaid but cant understand why anyone would put up with some of these things..

I'm bridesmaid for my brothers wedding next year... So it's tradition in Ireland the bride and groom pay for everything. Bride has sent me a picture of the dress... Omfg... If I was a size 8 17yo going to the grad then it would be lovely, but I'm a freakin size 12 - 14 35 yo mum of 2... Her two sisters are also bridesmaids, I've yet to see them look anything less than tacky.. I asked what shoes did bride want us to wear ( I'm more than happy to buy my own) but no the bride wants us in stacked platform gladiator style heels... Some cheap and nasty version of a designer shoe she has seen.. If I was paying for the stuff myself I would say nope I'm not buying that but my hands are tied!!! My husband is laughing his *** off he thinks it's hilarious... Seriously if you have seen My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding this wedding could be an episode of that... My SIL is only a half step up from that!

    Rant over!
