Default How did you tell your partner...

About your BFP? Was your partner there when you tested or did you surprise them? I have seen some good YouTube clips but would love to hear stories from you!

Fib was in the bedroom and I was in the bathroom both times.

We were ttc so it wasn't a shock or surprise

Was fathers day. He was working. I tested and was totally floored to see pregnant. I bought him a fathers day gift and card saying can't wait to meet you!

DS#1 was a complete surprise after giving up TTC after over 2 years. We ended up in hospital because I was so sick and the doctor came in and congratulated us. I was in SHOCK!!

We are now TTC#2 but have no idea how I would share the news this time! Now that we've figured out what was wrong we are hoping to fall pregnant within the year! But up to cycle 5 already!

If I get a BFP this cycle I will find out a week before our anniversary so I was thinking about keeping it a secret until that day and then with our tradition of hanging helium balloons over our bed with a photo of each year that we have been married and on this years tape the POAS :P but I don't know if I can keep it a secret that long!

#1 I came out of a toilet and said "I feel funny. I think I'm pregnant." I was.

#2 He got a phone call as he was at home and I'd almost fainted at a shopping centre. "I almost fainted. I'm pregnant."

#3 I went to a toilet at the shops because I'd suspected. Then went and met him and the kids in the car and passed him the test which I'd wrapped in the POAS instructions. "Yeah."

I would have loved to have done something awesome but at the time I'm just overwhelmed and nervous and it ends up being "here, I peed on this and some lines came up. Do you like Spartacus for a boys name?"

He was at work and I was too impatient so I just text him a photo of my BFP. He didn't believe it until he got home and I showed him.

We were TTC and I woke up on CD29 expecting to see AF. It was St Patrick's Day so I thought I'd better test, and if it came up negative then I'd get a six pack of Guinness later that day to share with DH. When I saw those two lines I grabbed a baby t-shirt I'd had hidden that said 'Daddy's Little Rascal', woke up DH and gave him the t-shirt. He just looked at me blankly so I showed him the stick.

I bought a jumpsuit that said "Daddy's little angel", wrapped it with the pregnancy stick and told him I had a present for him.

He opened it looked at me blankly then went back to washing the dishes. One of the rare occasions that my DF has ever been speechless!!!
