I've got two speed camera tickets in one day to. The shameful part is it was the same camera I was on my lunch break at work and one got me going to the shops and the other on the way back from the shops. It was about 10 years ago now so I can't remember how much.

A few weeks ago - on my phone.

My Bluetooth had dropped out so I picked up my phone to tell my boss I would call him back and mr unmarked policeman pulled up in the lane next to me and waved.

"Closest" I've been is when a friendly copper pulled me over last summer to check that my 87 year old grandmother and I weren't driving a scenic out-of-the-way road in order to start bushfires. The poor man looked embarrassed.

No fine, but...I got pulled over when we were in NSW last year on holiday. Was 2am on the way back to our accom from the hospital, DP was sick as with some nasty viral thing. Got into town, noone in sight, coasted thru a 2 lane roundabout and there were blue lights behind me...turns out I'd been doing over 90 in a 60 zone! Oops! Cop asked how much I'd had to drink (nothing), then what else I'd taken (nothing)...was just really tired and wanting bed! In the end we were in NSW in a car with QLD plates and I had a WA licence, I think it fell in the too hard basket for him and he took pity on me and let me off with a warning...talking to friends after apparently it should have been a bit more than a fine!!

So I think I got lucky!!

Pixie I have to agree with you here.. No tickets warnings etc in 10+ years.. Last week I was in a 100 zone.. I was doing 105.. It dropped to 60 and I didn't notice.. Had a screaming baby as he was unwell and I was trying to get him home and was distracted .. They had saw me pull over a few km back and thought this was suspicious.. I was checking on him and calming him by way way. All of a sudden, those flashing lights and an unmarked car. He checked on the baby and asked if he was alright and if he needed to go to the hospital - he didn't - he asked if I had anything in the car that I shouldn't.. I said no .. He ended up telling me I was lucky that he wasn't from traffic but was from homicide coming back from a job :O ... I felt terrible! That's all he said! Not even a stern talking to! Bless him. He knew I was frazzled and I didn't need a fine to remind me to concentrate more from now on!!

Not really a traffic fine but a really stupid parking bill!

We just got back from a 2 week holiday, before the holiday I Pre paid for airport parking with a special deal so it was only $95. DH dropped DD and I off at the airport and went to park the car. When we returned to sydney we caught the bus that was meant to take us to the car park and DH tells me this isn't the right car park....WTF!! After a few different bus trips we found he parked the car in the wrong car park and they wanted to charge us another $500 just to get the car out. We had $5 on us, that was it, no money in our accounts or anything so they let us drive out but gave us a bill with 7 days to pay the $500. Which won't be happening as we don't have it. Still pretty angry at DH for not being able to read damn signs!

Worst one was 105 in 80 zone, 333 bucks and 4 points but to me my worst one was a 13k over fine coz it took my last demerit points and i was suspended for 6 months!

Anyone else got a traffic fine they're brave enough to share?
My worst and so far only fine was a $500 one for driving an unregisted car.
