    The roast took less than 3 hours of cooking, actually I think it was a bit under 2. You need a meat thermometer though, and to allow for brining it overnight (in salted water). It's really one of the easiest things I've ever cooked.

    I only use recipes for desserts so usually one of my dessert cook books, I do tend to use taste.com a lot nowadays though as my cookbooks are in storage temporarily!

    Jamie olivers ministry of food is fantastic. Although I'm quite a competent cook I find it great to go to when I'm lacking inspiration. All quick, family friendly meals and a good reminder that food doesn't have to be complicated to be delicious!
