Yes i have one and i use it daily sometimes twice a day the only other appliance that gets used more is the washing machine. I never really had one before kids (1 house did) but now i couldn't live without it. I was just in the process of stacking it when the kids did something and i came to vent to friends lol.

I never rinse unless its like the rice cooker which i sit in a sink of water before putting it in otherwise it doesn't work.

I just use the Aldi or woolies cheap tablets and they are awesome hardly ever have to rewash anything and never more then i did with finish anyway.

You don't need to rinse things off before they go in either - just scrape off the chunky bits.

Yes this is us, we have a really old 40yr+ kitchen and the cupboards are inbuilt, so we can't just pull out a unit and pop in a DW. And it won't happen until I go back to work
Oh well at least DH doesn't mind doing them in the evenings tho he has enough to do so I try to get them out of the way early

and for those of you that wash dishes by hand, how do you look after your hands? I try to wear gloves but the girls are always asking for this or that, so i get sick of taking them on and off, my hands are in ribbons from being in water

I got one at tax time last year, its the best thing i have purchased.

We dont fill it that easily, so it goes on every second day, so not too bad for my electricity and water bill we got a really good energy and wtpater efficent one, where u can pick heavy duty xycle, normal, eco etc.

    Loveeee it ^_^

I never had one before we moved into this rental and now that I do, I never use it!
It just seems like more effort to unstack it lol

I certainly do, BUT, it's sitting outside in the deck (infront of the sink window to add insult to injury!) waiting to be installed !

I miss my dishwasher **wipes away a tear** .

Yes, and we use it most days. I HATE washing dishes and our kitchen would be a whole lot messier if I didn't have a dishwasher to make my life easier
