    i hate dishwashers!
like a pp said, leaving dishes in there to fester while you wait for it to be full enough to justify running it is nasty.

i actually enjoy washing dishes though - i find it somewhat therapeutic. i gaze out my big window above the sink and look for kangaroos, birds etc. must be all the years in hospitality - i also used to like polishing the cutlery!

    now ironing, that i hate.
i don't even own an iron

Yes, we have a dish drawer style one. It gets used all the time, some days up to 3 times a day (it's just the one drawer so quite small capacity). I still also hand wash some stuff that can't go in there.

Our family's holiday house doesn't have a dishwasher and it's SUCH a pain washing all the dishes! Probably made worse by the fact that we all tend to go there in large-ish groups so after each meal there seems to be a tonne of dishes. We all take turns though, which is good.

I used to have a dishwasher, and it was my bestest friend ever. I loved it so sooo much. I hate dishes, but what I loved most about it was I could spend more time with my then 2yo and newborn, instead of ages washing dreaded dishes. It is so much worse now that I don't have one anymore. It's been over a year since I left my darling dishwasher... and I still miss it so much! I shouldn't have taken it for granted! Hope it comes back one day (next house ). Also, all you people with dishwashers that don't use them *shakes fist*.

^^ I used to feel the same about my old dishwasher, it was crap and nothing ever came out clean. Our new one is amazing though, everything comes out like in the ads Doesn't matter what powder we use, it's always sparkling. The dishwasher is amazing. I could kiss it.

Can you tell I love my dishwasher?

When we rented for about 4-5 years we had a dishwasher but never used it because we thought hand washing was cleaner.. Now that we've bought our own place and have one we have started using it and feel like idiots for never using them before lol.

Yup but I never use it. It's a crappy cheap one and does a terrible job. I'd rather wash the dishes myself!
