It means it's served just after having been seared slightly.. as in, 5 seconds per side..

I used to like my steak like leather!!

Now I like medium well. I like some pink in the middle but not too much 😁

Medium well for me. I don't mind pink in the middle but no red and no juice!

Medium - tender enough that it's not tough as old boot leather and not bleeding...just a bit pink!

    Medium rare or rare.

I like it those ways as the meat is still tender, so you're not chewing like a Jersey Cow, you can still taste the meat and its oh so delicious! Any other way (especially well done) is sacrilegious to me, such a waste!

One of my favourite ways to eat steak is tartare aller-retour (ate lot's in France) very yummy.

Unfortunately at the moment I have to have meat medium as I'm pregnant and it's just not the same.

Just a basic pic for those who have no clue what is what.

That said, my version of "medium" is somewhere between the pic's medium rare and medium...

I had steak again, second night in a row with chips and salad. Seriously think I could eat steak every night. Had pepper sauce for a change. Certainly doesn't beat the usual mushroom sauce though.
