    i like mine medium to medium rare...
    no where near well done.

    I like it about 4 mins each side and 4 mins rest.

    Well done. But lately when I order it well done it has been coming back burnt and charcoal.. yuck. So I might start asking for it medium-well done. I'm too scared to ask for medium in case it comes back bloody.. yuck. A little light pinkish/grey is just tolerable for my liking.. nothing more off putting than a nice steak sitting in a pool of blood on my plate or bleeding as you cut into it..

    Medium well for me. But I pretty much never order steak when I'm out. DH knows exactly how I like it so I usually only eat it if he cooks it.

    I much prefer a chunky slow cooked beef stew, where the meat is cooked through but falling apart yummmm...

    medium to medium rare - if you rest the meat, it isn't sitting in any juices. I think overcooked steak is a crying shame!

    Ugh, it's not blood, it's juice. The blood is drained at the abattoir. Read this.

    I like my steak rare to medium rare at most. It also has to have come to room temperature before being cooked. When I have a bbq, I have crappy steaks that I cook for those who want well done, brown, cardboard style slabs of meat, and better quality steaks for those who don't want me to destroy them by overcooking them.
