Had a big cry to DH last night and told him I don't want to try again until next year, five losses in a year has been so tough and I feel I need a break. I was feeling relieved last night but today I just feel sad

Hoping the bleeding starts soon so I can get it over with.

Totally understand the jealous feelings, I feel pretty jealous of my pg girlfriends at the moment. i'm supposed to be going to my cousin's baby's first birthday party this weekend but I'm not sure I really want to put myself through it.
So sorry to hear, I'm not sure how you've managed to get through 5 losses.... I guess each one brings new hope it's sad this has happened & it's simply not fair!

I'm going through the same jealousy feelings, it's not something we can help... I think it's natural but it's hard coz so many people don't understand!

Tiggers - I just wanted to send you more . It seems a break is what's needed for a few of us lately, myself included

Zakmick - My latest FET was cancelled because neither of my 2 day 5 blasts survived thaw. One of them was from my first cycle, and the other was from my second. Now I will need to do a 3rd to get more! I was told that my first cycle produced really good eggs, so I was expecting atleast THAT embryo to survive! Now I'm wondering if we should send the next ones for biopsy as it just really hit me hard that NEITHER of them survived. I knew it was a slim chance both would survive, but none?!?
I forget where I was going with this now!

I guess what I'm trying to say is that you just never know what your embryo's are going to do. They could either really suprise you, or really break your heart.

"They could either really suprise you, or really break your heart".

Hi Disney, sums up the whole process very nicely really. I just hope one day we get the surprised and not the heartbreak!!

MARTTC - wow what a week for you too. Take it easy lovely.
Im a bit surprised they are thinking PCOS now, why havent they come to that conclusion before? I suppose they could look closer. Do remember that endo and PCOS are two of the main indications for IVF and both generally able to be overcome!

    xx girls

    Hi girls!!

Tigger big hugs, I'm glad you found us. I think you have made the right choice to take some time out. It's not easy making that decision but for our own sanity I think we have no choice sometimes. X

Disney what you wrote is very true!

Marttc, hopefully the lap is what was needed, it is interesting that they they think you have pcos! Did you have any internal ultrasounds before you started ivf? As mine was diagnosed at 18. X

Sel!!! Your prayers worked AF arrived today. Day 1 will be tomorrow. Yes we will be transferring hopefully both embies if they thaw this month. Fx

I'll make the phone call to clinic tomorrow and start the ball rolling again.....

Girls - this was the whole reason I changed from mivf to monash was the simple fact they never investigated me further!!! My local gp had me do a ultrasound (which was apparently clear, but I've since read you don't need actual cysts in your ovaries to have pcos?!?) but when our fs saw DH had a sperm issue they just pointed the finger at him & ran with it.... I'm so glad I changed as now I have answers!
I've always had on off pain with periods, maybe that was the endo?!
Could the info be why I miscarried?

Tigger, that is absolutely so tough, I don't know how you've managed to keep going tbh.
MARTTC - mine was pretty quick but I wasn't very pregnant so I don't know if that makes a difference. It was my first MC and AF was a hell of a ***** that month.
Zak, yay for AF! exciting times ahead for you.
Disney, where are you up to at the moment?
Sel, sorry I've lost track of where you're at, I hope it's going good!

AFM - struggling today. One of the girls who came to the top of the donor list in the same round as me has just had a healthy baby boy and the other girl who got a donor in that round is not far behind her in pregnancy land while I struggle on. as predicted I do only have one egg. I know I'm only doing an IUI but I would have liked two given my poor egg quality, I'd feel I had a better chance. The lead follie is at 16 with 3 others between 5 and 7. I'm tempted to double my gonal tomorrow to 400 as I'm only having another blood test before trigger and maybe they'll catch up. Then again I'm worried I'll fry Mr Solo who might be a good egg after all. Such a dilemma. Then I get home from a long day at work where I need to get ahead to accommodate tomorrow's blood test to find that my mother decided to tell me of my uncles imminent death by leaving a phone message. He's been ill a long time and we knew it was coming but a phone message? WTF is that! sorry, it just crosses a boundary for me. How I'd love a drink!

HI all of you lovely ladies,
It is sad that I have to read that my feelings are like so many others here but at the same time reassuring to me.
My story is quite a short one compared to so many. We have been TTC in earnest 4 years and have learnt in that time that we have Male issues. On to IVF we go and wow first go success. How lucky were we. For the past 11 weeks we have been quietly celebrating our success to finally have what we had wanted for so long. We are rural in the IVF trip itself meant +900kms round trip to Melb for appointments, EPU and transfers. The Ultrsounds +500km round trips and thankfully local 160kms for bloods. All this whilst trying to hold down full time employment and own a farm with animals relying on us twice daily for food.
When I started spotting went to the local Emergency and they refered me to ultrasound on Monday. Learnt on my own 90kms from home with no ability to contact DH that we had lost at 8 weeks. My stupid body had carried it around for 3 weeks and not known.
Went home with no idea of what to do or what was going to happen. Of course no DR appointments available for 2 days. Started to MC at home and ended up on ED and was sent home with panadol. Finally made it to DRs after 2 days of absolute hell. D&C done the next day which I had a friend drive me to and from.
Have just had a follow up DR appointment and am so lucky to be told that there was no abnormailities with pathology or me. So onwards and upwards we go. Trying to get an appointment to see FS soon to plan where to go from here.

One thing we have learnt especially in our town is that it would seem that the lower the IQ and income the higher the fertility rate. It breaks my heart to see all of the 14+ year olds pushing prams with smokes in their hands...

Hopeing that everyone is all doing OK in here and look fowards to sharing journeys with you all.

Bindi, I'm so sorry you had such an awful experience. I hope you find some comfort in cyber-chatting with others who've had a similar experience. what's next for you, are you taking some time off, or will you try again straight away?

    Thanks Net3811,
I have found that it is nice to be able to go through this with people that understand. No will will go straight back into it if we can. I am waiting for a call from fertility specialist today to see what they suggest.
