Eaglegirl, are you seeing an accupuntirst or more after a naturopath? I went down that path and i've found traditional chinese acupuncture and massage to be really helpful.

Will you transfer two next time?

What do you ladies think about transferring two embies? My FS said she won't do it for us because of my age, and although i know the risks of miscarriage is a bit higher, i figure we've already had two anyway. I'd love for them to put two in, but i think we'll have to work on them to see if they will do it.

Eaglegirl - are you in the inner west of Sydney? I went to this place last time and had acupuncture from Ilana - she is very nice and hey, I got a BFP. Although funnily enough, she wasn't working the day of my transfer so a guy they had in as a locum, to cover someone's leave, did it. His name was Kevin. He was really good, but I don't know where he might usually work.

We have recently moved away from the inner west so I'll be going to someone different next time.

Clem and Peonies I did acupuncture and TCM my last cycle at city acupuncture in the dymocks building. I actually live on the Central Coast but work in the city so seeing an acupuncturist during the week is easy but after the treatments when I'm not at work its quite difficult to get into the city I haven't been able to find someone up here. My friend at work told me of a place on Parramatta Rd near stanmore who get results a friend of hers went through IVF for 5 years went and saw him and is now 14 weeks pregnant and he is a little cheaper than the one in the city. Its so hard to decide. What to do What to do???

As for the transfer the last 2 times they transfered 2 only because the second embryo wouldn't be frozen but there is still a chance of a pregnancy. That is the only way I would transfer 2 I think, only because of the risks that come with Twins even though my DP would love twins. Too many choices and decisions come with IVF, Naturpaths, Acupuncturists, 2 embryo transfers on not to

Hi, joining with a positive hope for my next cycle!
Spoke with my clinic and it looks like I will be having my frosty FET towards late July.

Hope this one has more oomph than its cycle sibling.

    Hi everyone!

I'd love to join this thread, if I can.

I'm waiting for AF after a long, ridiculous anovulatory cycle (again!) and am halfway through my Provera meds to induce a period.

As soon as she arrives, I start the BCP for my long-down regulation for IVF #2. That'll be end of June... so no fun stuff until July/August for me.

Last time around, I only had 5 eggs, 3 that were mature. 2/3 fertilised, but only ONE made it to Day 3, so had a single transfer then. BFN I'm afraid. We're using slightly higher dosages this time around to hopefully get a few more eggies.

Nice to see a few familiar faces here!

    Aly

    Hi Ladies,
Also hoping to jump on and join this thread.
I recognise some of you from previous threads. Hopefully we will graduate from the TTC forums soon!
I am from Perth and had my 1st IVF cycle April this year. I had 22 mature follicles at EPU, 40 total, but only 8 were retrieved due to having a lupron trigger due to high OHSS risk. 6 were fertilised and 4 made it to blast- all were frozen. I am now starting my first FET after having a 8 week forced break to help my ovaries recover.
I initially was devastated that I had no transfer but I am now looking at it in a positive light that my body is in a lot better shape than how sick I was after the IVF cycle. I started gonal f 50 yesterday and hope to get a nice thick lining for my frostie soon

Wishing you all lots of and hope this is as lucky a thread as the may/june thread.

Eaglegirl, it can be hard so many options. When i do acupuncture, its on the other side of town to my work, so its hard to go for 5 days after the transfer but i try to do it. I really do think it helped me to get pregnant, plus its very relaxing which can't hurt.

I think with transferring two, I'm my head I'm just ignoring all the risks. We'd love twins, we wouldn't worry about extra medical bills and all of that, i guess its just that you want the best chance of two healthy babies. I'd just rather get two out of the way in one go, than go back through all of this for a 2nd pregnancy (if we even get to the 1st!) but our dr said she won't consider it yet at all.

Fortitude thats not too far away I think i'm scheduled to have mine around 13th of July so you won't be far behind me.

Mrsjaguar, i really hope this is the lucky cycle for you!

1babyplease, best of luck to you too!

Hi everyone , seems like a lot has been happening in the last few days, I’ll do my best to catch up.

Kdsd – I’ve just noticed the name change on the thread. I didn’t recognise it at first, I’m sure I’ll get used to it in no time .

Bubs4kylee – yes, I did copy that list of abbreviations, there’s so many, I only use a few IYKWIM (sorry, couldn’t resist) . And your question about when we’re starting sniffing synarel or jabbing lucrin, well my appointment to pick up meds is next Tuesday so I guess that’s when I’ll be starting, you should be starting around the same time as me I’m guessing?

KS09 – sorry to hear about the police check application, hope it’s all been sorted out now. You are sooooo right, everyone who has a child should undergo a police check! Hope the sniffing is going well .

Amps – Good luck with getting treatment for Asherman’s . I have a feeling I may have it too, so if this cycle doesn’t work out I’m going to get it investigated. I’ve heard of good things from Alana Healthcare for Women in Randwick, they deal with Asherman’s and have a few specialists, maybe one of them can help you if you have no luck elsewhere, they’re website is http://www.alanahealthcare.com.au/

Eaglegirl – best wishes finding a new naturopath/acu/TCM guy. I used to see David Lau, he does acupuncture in Castle Hill and Surry Hills. I can’t really recommend him even though he was lovely as I never got a BFP, but I did see heaps of baby photos and thank you cards in his Castle Hill home so he does have success stories, just not me. I only saw him for 2 cycles and I also used to see a naturopath in Penrith. Even though they didn’t help me I’m glad I tried it, would hate to die wondering.

Clementine – I would definitely go with transferring 2 if you have the chance, I know I will. If one doesn’t stick there’s always a chance with the other one. Of course there’s the chance both will stick, but that’s the risk I’m willing to take.

Hello and welcome to Peonies, Fortitude, Mrsjaguar & 1babyplease – best wishes this is our month for a BFP .

Peonies –so sorry to hear of your m/c .

AFM – well, had a relaxing long weekend before going back to work tomorrow. We went to the NSW South Coast, which was very nice. We usually go to The Entrance on the Central Coast but we went somewhere different and we had a great time, even though it took us 3 hours to get there. There were kangaroos jumping around the streets like locals, we even saw one with a joey in its pouch. We also went on a whale and dolphin watching cruise. We saw so many dolphins but when we went out to the ocean to find whales we had to come back because the weather turned bad and started raining. The only bad thing about long weekends is that they end, I really don’t know how I’m going to get up for work in the morning, I’ve been sleeping in the last few days and it was wonderful.

mumtochris - thanks for the info, I will try anywhere that is good, hence why I am prepared to fly, we have very few specialists in any field up here and I've been stuffed around way too much already.

    Hope you are all well
