Kmvw: Its interesting you should say about the study being conducted at Harvard, as I'm subscribed to receive emails from Sharkey's healing centre www.sharkeyshealingcentre.com or www.naturalfertility.com, and Stacey Roberts has just sent through an email discussing this. Its good reading her emails at times, it gives you advice on what to do to support your ivf journey and discusses good news stories as well how to deal with family functions, baby showers etc- she gives strategies in those uncomfortable situations.

She has a blog too which i find useful, and her latest blog is about changing our diet to become more fertile, IE less dairy and protein and more vegetables and good fats (avocados, rice bran oil in cooking etc) This is the link to her blog http://haveababy.blogspot.com.au/

Im glad the clinic rang back and you have another BT scheduled
    HI everyone!!

Emmylou - I'm sorry you got some not so positive news. My AMH is 2.5 and just praying for a miracle too. Hugs

KandP - how frustrating! I'm also with QFG so will be checking everything carefully. Mind you I am having a natural FET next so hopefully not too many medications to mix up.

Gstef - thats an amazing haul with an AMH of 1.1. Can I ask what drugs you are on. I got 5 eggs last time and all 5 fertilized but only 3 making it far enough for either transfer or freezing. And I thought that was an ok haul with a low amh but would definitely love some more! Rest up and drink lots of fluid.

Welcome to the new ladies as well. Hope your journey is short and smooth.
AFM - nothing much happening here except waiting for next AF (another week and a half away still). I don't know about you other ladies but we still "try" around ovulation time even on a non IVF cycle month and after 2 years of TTC and not even close to a BFP, I still hold a glimmer of hope each month. I always feel a bit "silly" hoping for that miracle even though IVF hasn't even worked so why would it happen in a natural cycle but I think without hope I would probably be locked up in a nicely padded cell wearing a lovely white jacket!
lackers i can relate in some way... im a big pessimist, glass half empty, always worrying for the worst and doubting things, except when it comes to conceiving, its the only thing i get hopeful about and let myself believe it might be happening each month!! despite how many let downs we have had!! i wish i could look at everything in life with as much hope and positive thinking

Girls, thanks for posting the above links! I hadn't even read any research papers regarding fertility - i guess because i thought that my FS would have his finger on that pulse - he's at the conference in Instanbul. The FET article is interesting, but i don't know how that could apply to us - can we say that we want to have a FET? If your embryos don't freeze, does that mean they wouldn't have implanted during a fresh cycle? if not, i'd be worried that i'd be losing that chance. My issue is apparently egg quality - he doesn't seem to think that i have any implantation issues - my hormone levels are all good... I would dearly love to not have to worry about all the medications for a stim cycle and fresh transfer in the one cycle!

As for the caffeine issue - my FS has said that I can have a cup a day if i want, i can have a glass of wine a day if i want - as far as he's concerned, it's about not being stressed - and he said that if a glass of wine in the evening helps with that, he's ok with it. I don't really drink so that's not an issue, but its nice having my cup of coffee in the morning, but i just make it a half-shot of espresso

kmvw- thanks for the link to that abstract- you've made my day!
I couldnt find much on freeze alls when it happened to me earlier this year.

That fits with what my FS said as to why I had a freeze all. I was too high an OHSS risk and with such high e2 etc it was unlikely the embie would take and thus we would have wasted our best one not to mention I would have been deadly sick!. He said I have about a 50% chance of this little embie that's onboard taking. I had a stimulated cycle not a natural cycle tho cause I don't have a cycle.

Currently going crazy in the TWW!!! I hate that the pregnyl gives me pregnancy symptoms and that I cant test because of the boosters! Last booster tomorrow then pregnancy test on... friday the 13th!

Kmvw thanks so much for the articles. I decided last week that if I need another round I will do a freeze all. This just made me feel more comfortable with my decision.

If this cycle doesn't work (whick i think is heading that way) we plan to do a freeze-all, i think my body just doesn't take embryo's with the stims.

Thanks for the article kmvw, I know my FS Dr Bowman is all for this and spoke about it on the morning show. These days defrosting embs is so advanced...wish we had frozen embryo's on stand by.

Haven't been on this thread for a while, hope everyone is well

1xbabyplease - i'm also going crazy in the 2ww. I have come to terms that it will be a failed cycle I don't feel anything AT ALL and today is 4dp5dt. Could it be possible with 2x blasts transferred...can't believe it.

Ngaiz how are you going? Are you still in the 2ww?

Good luck to all our ladies in the TWW. That nervousness/stress is huge. I'm thinking of you all!

so i'm feeling absolutely craptacular today - i'm actually glad that my cycle was cancelled on wednesday.

In saying that, i'm wondering why Ben didn't suggest continuing with the stim phase of the cycle and then freeze the embryos at EPU? Maybe because he's only filling in for Warren and didn't want to step on his toes? I think overall, it's a good thing - it's only 2-3 weeks until i can start again and by that time i'll hopefully be completely over this virus. It's turned into a nasty headcold now..

For all the ladies who are currently suffering with the same headcold/virus - the best thing you can do to clear out your sinuses without the use of drugs is to get yourself a Fess Sinus Cleaner - the pack contains a bottle with sachets of salt/xylitol powder - you boil a kettle, let the water cool to tepid - then pour the water into the bottle provided, add a sachet, mix and then jump in the shower, put the nozzle of the bottle against one nostril and squirt firmly. The water will go through your sinuses and out the other side. It's a disconcerting feeling at first, but believe me, it works and is natural - no chemical nasal sprays (which work against you in the long run anyway - you get rebound blockage). I used to suffer horrendous sinus infections and it was my saviour.

Everything is fine! Hcg doubled from 142 to 385 and progesterone is good at 58! So now I just wait until the 19th for the scan.

Good luck to everyone this coming month, I hope I was the first of very many more to come
