Ooh! Ooh! On an entirely non-IVF related sideline, my bestie and I have just booked a girly weekend away HERE:

    http://www.chateauelan.com.au/

Golf, spa, food and wine hurrah! So if the blip doesn't stick I'll at least have a fun drunken weekend to look forward to

Dang it, I can't keep up, stupid work and meetings getting in the way. Mrs j how can they not have ur results!! Won't your clinic do them? You must be going loopy waiting, I would be.

That's the thing I love most about my clinic, they do bts 7 days a week and have the results between 11-1.

Tigger, I've heard of that place, looks great!!

Tiggs - lucky you! That place looks amazing, I've drooled over it before & wanted to go there. We have a holiday to Fiji coming up in 16 days, which was booked as a babymoon when I was UTD before. We had hoped it would still turn out to be one. But I said to DH this morning, after my little cry, "well at least it means I can eat & drink whatever I want in Fiji & get massages". Have to be able to see some positives.

MrsJ - you could ask your fertility clinic to get the results imported to them, all it takes is a ph call and the pathology company sends the results electronically. It is ridiculous that the GP hasn't given you results as normally bhcg are done within a couple of hours of getting to the lab and are sent through electronically to GP's. If you do any bloods through your GP in the future ask the collector to copy your FS on the form, at least then you might be able to get results in a reasonable time frame. I am frustrated for you that they would mess you around like that. Not all GP's are like that.

Positives are important, if extremely difficult to come by on many, many days.

I'm hating this limbo-land. I'd already grieved this pregnancy when the clinic initially told me it wasn't viable (and got very drunk as well ooops) so being back here is really sending me

And I'm now procrastinating on the Hub AGAIN when I should be writing a briefing paper on capital market quality frameworks, for European regulators and politicians. No wonder I come here often, geez my job is thrilling...!

That's a good point Workingmumma. If I've had BTs through Douglas Hanly Moir requested by my GP or someone else, the FNs at my clinic are able to log onto DHM website to find the results for me, and that is quicker than waiting to hear back from GP. But the FNs said it is only with DHM they can do that. Also, last time I had BTs for levels of various vitamins & minerals, my GP put my name & address down on the form as someone to be copied on the results, so I wouldn't have to ring or go back to her - so I could just get the results myself. It was good because I was then able to scan those & email them to my FS as he was interested to see them too.

Tigger - you are incredibly strong! You have gone through so much and still keep plodding along and somehow find the energy to be supportive of all of us on this thread. I really truly hope this emby sticks and grows, if not we'll all be here to hold you up. What a roller coaster it's been for you. I too should be working/studying today as I'm doing two post grad uni courses while working part-time and really need to get working on my assignments and readings before they get on top of me (it's a public holiday in Brisbane today), I'm also getting very distracted on here. Hope Friday brings you good news.

Hi Peonies, its frustrating when GP's don't copy in other specialists involved with patient care, as they should do this always. I used to work for a FS and we used to ring and request results from all major pathology companies for our patients. In GP land it's also as simple as a ph call, I hope MrsJ gets her results soon. Sorry to hear you've been having a hard time, this journey is definitely not easy, sending you a virtual hug and fingers crossed for a positive result from your BT.

Well, I am back to work today and see no reason to be here. I don't even have anything to do. Well, I do - but I need a meeting first with a couple of people and they don't have any time until tomorrow. So today I am: feeling sorry for myself, fooling myself with false hope, stalking Bubhub and researching things for the Fiji trip. I could have done all that at home & cuddled my doggie at the same time!

Cool! What are you studying? I did a Masters over four years when DS was newborn-4yo, hard work but I really did love it.
