Default *PERTH student midwife looking for generous Perth women!

    Hello pregnant Perth women!

My name is Rachel and I'm halfway through my midwifery degree

Would you like to benefit from continuity of care - having a familiar face with you throughout your pregnancy as you meet different midwives/doctors? Would you like that friendly, familiar face to help with all your healthcare and help you navigate the maze that is having a baby in WA? And would you feel good knowing you were helping train a midwife of tomorrow?

Hopefully you answered yes! As part of my course I am looking for pregnant women who will be kind enough to share their journey with me. I would come along to your appointments, your birth as well as your appointments after your bub is born. You won't need to "do" anything, so no need to worry that it will be an extra hassle to your busy life, and it's a completely free service!

Depending on where you are having your baby, a student may be involved in your care anyway - why not make it the same student every time, one that you can get to know and feel comfortable with.

If you are less than 35 weeks pregnant I would love to hear from you. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have, as well as email you an information brochure about the program.

You can reach me via email: rachel.witzand@student-dot-curtin-dot-com-dot-au, or call or text 0431 465 62six.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Where are you in WA? Are you willing to travel? If so how far?

Or is this a general ad for all students?

(I'm probably too far along, I just thought those questions might encourage others to enquire )

Oh what a shame tjewell!! Take it easy and good luck with everything

Great questions detajach. I'm in Perth (SOR) and travel almost anywhere - and I do mean anywhere! Hospitals, the family birth centre and all around on the community midwifery program. The one exception would probably be Joondalup -that' a bit too far for me unfortunately. However if someone in Joondalup is reading this and would be interested in a student I can put you in touch with one who lives up that way

*Edit - detajach, if you were interested it's not too late!

I'm in Bunbury. So probably a little bit far. Although I have a few friends in Perth who might be interested.

    I'll pass the details on.
