While I was breastfeeding the Mirena was great. Then once I stopped, it brought on period type pains, then morning sickness symptoms. I had it taken out in February. All of my symptoms went away a few days later, started going away within hours. I also put on weight.
Great contraception if you can have it though.

Well i haven't had the greatest experience but it is better then other things. i had my first inserted 4 weeks after an ectopic pregnancy it was fine for the first 2 weeks didn't feel it at all, but then i could barely walk it felt like something was stabbing me in there and it was horrible i went straight back to my ob and he checked and it had slipped and was stabbing into my uterus. he removed it and it was great lol i then got a very heavy period. he said it was very rare for it to slip so i decided to have another put in. got it put in 1 week later and it was again great for 2 weeks and then i started to feel it when i did number 2's had it checked after a month and he checked and said it had slipped slightly again but not too badly and as long as it wasn't bothering me it was fine to leave in. so i decided to leave it for now as it makes my periods really light which is lovely. i can feel like i said whenever i go to the toilet but it isn't painful just strange but i think having that discomfort is much better then another possible ectopic pregnancy.

good luck with it i know lots of people that haven't had any issues with it so i would say its definately worth a try

I refuse to get it. Every woman I know personally who has had it has ended up in hospital from infections and complication. One was close to needing a hysterectomy because of it.
