I think I've made my mind up, but I'm just curious about others mumma's experiences with MCN's?
I'm all for the cheaper aspect of them & not having to dispose of the 'store brought' nappies & I LOVE the funky covers you can buy for them.
BUT I'm a lil dubious about the dryness factor, do they keep bubba nice a dry like a disposable, do MCN's draw the moisture away as well??

They do keep baby dry, just not for as long as a disposable. If I put DS in a disposable, it'll last around 6 hours at a stretch. An MCN will generally last him around 3 hours before I have to change or risk a leak (DS is 24 months old).

The general recommendation is to change MCNs every 2 hours. The linings of MCNs wick the moisture away from baby's skin, so it's not like they are sitting in their own urine

yep they have an absorbent layer in them that sucks the moisutre through it depends on the brand of nappy but at lot of them have suedecloth which is stay dry material so it allows the moisture through and then dries out if that makes sense. i have some nappies that can stay on DD for at least 4 hours (if she has a super long sleep its lasted 5 hours) but they are microfibre ones. try having a look around at lots of different nappies and you will find out why they are so great
