Mine does he same thing when running on fuel. Runs fine on gas do I'm thinking its a fuel line issue. Itll be fine then shudder and cut out. Mine always starts again first go. I'm too scared of the cost to go see a mechanic :/

My stupid car just refuses to start lol, have a new battery, new fuel pump and new spark plugs and leads. In my case it looks like it's an issue with either the key or security system.

In your case I'd be guessing it's a fuel problem, if it was the battery or plugs and leads it wouldn't start , hope you get it sorted soon.

    Thanks everyone!

Turns out it's the coil pack or something like that. I have no idea what it's called, but it's something like that and it's got to do with sparks or something. lol. As you can tell, I didn't really retain this info... I suck with cars.

Hopefully will get a new coil thingo tomorrow!

I had a barina that carried on the exact way you described. It ended up being the coil pack as well. Thankfully it was a warranty issue as it's apparently quite costly to fix.

Yeah, I would of said the coil. Its a spark issue. I had a ute that I had to replace the coil in it 4 times in a year. It really bugged me, until I sold the car! Lol.

    Ignition coil, bloody things.
My astra did the exact same thing a few weeks ago actually, I'm waiting to get a new coil to put in it. (Hence why I'm currently driving the VP, it's all fun and games with cars here!) It's a common problem with barinas, astras, and a few other smaller cars. The part for my car is about $100-150, so hopefully you won't be up for too much with labor added in.
