Not sure why they only showed those two women, there are heaps of reasons why some women do selective reduction - a lot of the time its for medical reasons, especially in HOM pregnancies - it's like they chose most controversial mothers they could find.

I dont have free to air t.v BUT I dont thin selective reduction should be on offer unless there is medical problems or in cases of high order multiples where there is a risk to all involved to carry all babies (and even then I am a bit iffy on it, why should you choose which babies to kill)

I am SO pro choice... But god that was so hard to digest. Really, really hard.
My cousin has triplets so it was all a little close to home...

The language used by teh second woman, "litter" etc...sounds like she is trying to make it less emotional, more technical - maybe in a way to distance herself - I really doubt it would be an 'easy' decision.

As a mother of multiples I can empathise with the dark emotion the potential risks invoke.

I personally couldn't do it unles I was faced with a life threatening circumstance.

I don't pretend to have any authority over another woman's decision though, and think unless you know ALL of the story in every detail - neither does anyone else.

There is PLENTY of 'life' in the form of children out there, living already - I am sickened by people that judge and throw guilt over a woman who has taken control of her own pregnancy.

I watched it. Actually, I had to look away when it showed the little baby at 11 weeks wriggling around in the womb happily one moment, oblivious to the needle approaching it's beating heart, dead the next.

How can anyone justify it???? Especially that far along. And to the woman who said it's "just a bunch of tissue"..... my god.

Heartbreaking to watch, I was in tears.

I will add, for medical reasons, life or death situations, I can understand how a mother could be forced to do this and that would be devastating. But for lifestyle choice... I personally just don't get it and could not do it.

I watched the first 30 seconds, cried, felt sick and changed the channel. I just could not watch.

I don't have a problem with it if there a high risk to the mother or children but when you have ivf and abort 2 of th because it's to full on that just doesn't make answer to me.

    That was really heartbreaking
