She didn't want the cup, but she took it quite well. I was shocked. When she woke up in the night, I offered a sippy cup, but she didn't want it. After 2 days, she had forgotten all about it!

Could you do what some people do with dummies- instead of the dummy fairy coming maybe the bottle fairy comes to take all her bottles to give them to the new babies and leaves her a present?

Personally I can't see the problem with a 2yo having a bottle at bedtime ... Night feeds no way though!!! My 2yo takes one of those tommee tipper sipper bottles to bed with her for her day and night sleep BUT there is only about 50ml of milk in there!

Hi OP . My DS still has a heap of bottles all day plus night .
Admittedly im a big softie but there's no way I could take he's bottle from him , he just loves it far too much . I'm just hoping he grows out of it when he's older and if he doesn't well so what I say . He competently drinks out of a cup , through a straw , out of a sippy cup etc so if he wants he's milk in a bottle then he wants he's milk in a bottle .

I know it's a so called no no but really , the distress it would cause my son isn't worth it .

I'm certainly not belittling what you are trying to do I guess what I'm saying is that if she's that stressed and hysterical I really think she's not ready and perhaps knowing that your not the only one still giving your two year old a bottle and that your not alone might give you a different view :-)

If you really WANT to get rid of it then I wish you so much luck but if your doing it out of abit of pressure that a two year old perhaps " shouldn't " have a bottle then I say give her back her bottle .

All the best either way I dread the day I may be in this position . Love kitty xoxo
